of Middlesex at their General Session Assembled

The Humble Petition of Richard Lewis< no role > This name instance is in set 211. Apprentice
unto John Lewis Lamatte< no role > of the Parish of
Saint Giles In the County aforesaid Jeweller

Most Humbly Sheweth.


That your Petr. was By Indenture Bearing Date the Seventh
Day of September In the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven
Hundred and Forty eight Bound apprentice unto the abovenamed John
Lewis Lamatte
< no role > To Serve him for the Spawand Term of Eight Years
relation being thereunto had by the Indenture Annexed may more fully
appear During which Time your Petr. hath Faithfully Serve his Said
Master Notwithstanding your Petrs. Said Master hath
Cruelly Beat and Misused your Petr. whereby He is much hurt
threatned your Petrs. Life at Divers times and with Dangerous
Weapons Attempted the Same.

Your Petr. therefore most Humbly Pray your Worsps
would Be Pleased To Order that his said Master
John Lewis Lamatte< no role > he being Bound by Recongnizance
Before Justices Sr. Laurance One of his Maties Justices
of the Peace for the Said County To Answer the Complaint
of his Said Apprentice to attend Some Day this present Session to
[..] Shew Cause why Your Petr. should not be Discharged
from his Said Apprenticeship And that all persons
Concerned Do Attend this Court to give Evidence of and
concerning the premisses.
