Robert Leggatt< no role > of Whitehall Gunner maketh Oath that Since
the last Session at the Old Bayly a reward of Fifty Pounds. hath been
Offered in the Publick News Papers by the Board of Ordnance to be paid on Conviction for the
taking John Hodges< no role > who was Concerned in Breaking Open the Outhouse
of Mr. John Serle< no role > and Stealing thereout Several of his Majestys Brass
Chambers at Stangate in Surry and Selling them to John Smith< no role > [..]
a Prisoner in Newgate as One Daniel Lewis< no role > did Declare upon Oath
before Mr. Justice Fielding in the Presence of this Deponenent and as
this Deponent Verily believes And this Deponent Also believes that all
other Endeavours have been Used to apprehend the Said Aodges but
that he as Yet Cannot be taken And this Deponent Also Saith that Since
the Said last Session the Said Lewis hath broke out of the Gatehouse
Prison at Westminster and hath not as Yet been retaken As this
Deponent Also believes.

Bailey the Eighteenth day of
July 1754.
