was bound in a
Recognizance before Vigerus Edwards< no role >
Esqr. one of his
Majesties Justices of the peace
for the said County of
Middlesex
to prosecute and give Evidence against the
the above named John Bamford< no role >
for Assaulting and
wounding John Arch the Prosecutor in this Cause at
this present Session of the Peace And this Deponent
further Saith that since he this Deponent was
bound over as aforesaid the said Prosecutor John
Arch hath made his Election to proceed by way of
Action at Law to Recover damages against the said
Defendant upon which application was made before
Mr. Justice Birch one of the Judges of his Majesties
Court of Common Pleas
for an Order to hold the said
Defendant to Bail and an Order was accordingly
made for holding the said Defendant to Twenty
Pounds Bail and thereupon the said Defendant was
charged in Custody of the Sheriff of Middlesex
and is
now detained in his Majesties Gaol of Newgate
