The King against Joseph Stanhope< no role > on the Prosecution
of John Wright< no role >

Joseph Stanhope of the parish of Saint Gyles in the fields in the
County of Middlesex Gentleman and William Wattson< no role > of the parish of
Saint Sepulchres London Gentleman severally make Oath and say
and First this Deponent Joseph Stanhope for himself saith that he
did on the twenty first day of January last Execute a Generall
release to the above prosecutor John Wright< no role > , George Wright< no role > Father
of the above prosecutor and Thomas Wright< no role > and further saith
that the said George Wright< no role > and Thomas Wright< no role > did at the same
time Execute a General Release to this Deponent Joseph Stanhope
And also further saith that the said George Wright< no role > did
acquaint this Deponent Joseph Stanhope that his son John Wright< no role > the
Prosecutor was then in the Country but was Expected home before
this present Sessions to be holden at Hicks's Hall and did
then undertake he shoud Execute the said General Release
and Indemnify the said Joseph Stanhope from any further
Charges by the said Prosecutor John Wright< no role > And this Deponent
William Wattson< no role > for himself saith that he did on the twenty
second day of this Instant February go along with the other
Deponent Joseph Stanhope, at the prosecutor's Shop in Broad
Saint Gylesandfor the Said Prosecutor to sign the said General
Release and did then Enquire of the said prosecutors Journey man
whether his Master was Come to Town, he told this Deponent he
was not, but his Father George Wright< no role > cou'd till this Deponent
better and this deponent, further saith that he did you the same day go to the sd.
George Wright< no role > 's shop and he acquainted this Deponent that his Son John
Wright
< no role > Wrightwas then at Bristoll and coud not tell. when he cond return to Town

Sworn in Court the 26th. Day of February
1750.
