To the Worshipfull his Majesties Justices of the
peace for the County of Middlesex Assembled
in their General Quarter Session

The Humble petition of Thomas Briggs< no role >
Constable of the parish of Acton in the sd.
County of Middx

Sheweth


That your petitioner was appointed Constable in the Easter
Week which was in the year of our Lond one Thousand Seven hundred
& forty Eight and has Continued the said Office of Constable ever since,

And that your petitioner has Served the Office of Constable above
Twelve Months and that the Court Leet have not chose any constable in
your petitioner place and stead

And that your petitioners Bussiness calls him abroad which will
Prevent your petitioner from Executing the said Office

Therefore your petitioner humbly prays your
Worships to appoint another Constable for the
said parish of Acton in his Room & stead

your petitioner recommends
to your Worships Choice

John Emmerson< no role > of Acton Butcher
George Rose< no role > at the George at Acton}
And your petitioner duty bound shall ever pray Etc.
