this 23d. may 1749.

Robert Thomas< no role > being upon Oath says that last Night about
Nine of the Clock he pad locked a Stable Door in the Naggs head Yard in
Malbrorough Mews in the parish of St. James's Westmr. the
property of Mr. Robert Holliwell< no role > , And this Informt. says that
about Seven of the Clock this Morning he was Informd by Edwd.

< no role > his Postillion that the Stable Door [..] had been broke open and all
the Livery Cloathes feloniously taken and Carryed away. says that
there upon he Searched the said Stable found a Great Coat, one
other Coat, two Waistreats, a Pr of Leather Breeches , one shirt,
a pr of Boots and a Fock the property of several Persons,
feloniously taken and Carryed away.

Edwd Lee< no role > being upon Oath says that he went to the Stable of
his Master Mr. Holliwell about Six of the Clock this Morning
and there found the Stable Door broke open and a quantity of
Livery Cloaths Feloniously taken and Carryed away the property
of James Dawkins< no role > Esqr

John Thompson< no role > being upon Oath says that between twelve and
one of the Clock this Morning he as he was upon his Duty near
the Watch house in Holborn he Mett a Man now present who
calls himself Wm. Lovett< no role > with a Bundle of Cloathes upon his Back
and a Laced waistcoat upon his Back, Says that upon asking him how
he came by them, he told Him he had Lived with my Lord Onslow and
had left his place and was obliged to Run away for fear of a Bustard
Child, but this Informt, says that Suspecting him that he had not come
honestly by them, he Carryed him to St Giles's Round house when he
Declared that he had Stolen the said Cloathes out of Woods Yard
in Marlborough Mews.

Robert Thomas< no role > being upon Oath says that a Great Coat, one other
Coat, two Waistcoats, a Pr. of Leather Breeches , one Shirt, a Pr. of Boots
and a Frock new produced and Shewed to him, he says in the same which
were feloniously taken in the manner aforesaid the property of James
Dawkins
< no role > Esqr and others.
