two of his said Majesty's Justices of the Peace residing near
to the Place where the forfeiture herein after mentioned was
made a Complaint & Information & thereby Informeth us
that one Thomas Fielder< no role >
of
Hampstead
in the said County
of Middlesex
did within three Months now last past make
use of one Coach not Being a Stage Coach without giving
at the next Excise Office
such Notice in Writing of the said
Coach so used and paying such Rate of Duty for the same
as by the Statute in such case made he ought to have given & paid
but did wholly omit be neglect to give any such Notices &
to make any such payment Contrary to the Form of the said
Statute whereby he hath forfeited the sum of Twenty Pounds
of lawful Money of Great Britain And thereupon the said
Thomas Grant< no role >
humbly prayeth the Judgment of us the said
Justices in the Premises & that he may have one Moiety of
the said forfeiture and that the said Thomas Fielder< no role >
may be
Summoned to Answer the Premises & to make Defence
thereto Before us the said Justices.,
