Severally make Oath and first
the said William Lovett< no role >
Saith that he Attended this Court
last Wednesday Morning from Ten O' Clock 'till twelve in
Order to give his Evidence on the Trial of the said Catherine
Downes< no role >
and that he was then Informed by One of the
Officers Attending the Court in Blue Gowns that no
Trial would come on that day that was not then in the
List Stuck up in the Court Yard, and this Deponent saith
that this Cause was not then in the said list and therefore
this Deponent went away and Come again the next
Morning when to his great Surprize he was told
that the Prisoner was Discharged the night before
and further Saith that it was not through the
least Contempt of this Honourable Court that
he went away last Wednesday at Twelve o'Clock
but entirely for the reason abovementioned And
Lastly the said Deponent William Ellis< no role >
Saith that
he was Attending here as a Witness in another Cause on
Wednesday last and saw the said William Lovett< no role >
Attending in the Court Yard that Morning.
