Warwick made Oath as before and Mr. Horton the Justices Clerk attending with the original information made before Mr. Morrice
Swore that Bygrave was the Man who made it by the Name of Spruce, The acting Justice being about to committ Bygrave
Newgate he freely confessed the whole Fact acknowledged the Name John Spruce subscribed to the Information to be his own hand-
writing and desired Favour in Regard he had been drawn in by Mrs. Nicholls who had an Influence over him of such a
Native that it was not safe for him to refuse her any thing, The Justices Clerk would have taken his Confession down in
Writing and got Bygrave to have signed it but he refusing to set his hand to anything nothing was reduced to writing

N:B:


The Warrant of detainer granted by Mr. Morrice agt. Frankland was sent in a Letter Directed for Mr. Nicholls the husband
who no doubt distroyed it in order as much as in him lay to Suppress the Guilt of his Wife

To prove the Application to and consent of Bygrave for swearing agt. Frankland
and their Going before the Justice and Kensington to make the said Information call}
