To the Worshipfull his Majesty's Justices of
the Peace for the County of Middlesex at their
Quarter Sessions Assembled at Hicks Hall
in St. John Street in the said County the 11th
day of October 1736.

The Humble Petition & Appeale of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the poor of the Parish of Thames
Ditton in the County of Surrey

Sheweth


That by an order or Warrant under the hands & Seals
of Thomas Jones< no role > & Richard Farmer< no role > Esqrs. two of his Maties
Justices of the Peace for the said County of Middlesex Dated
the thirteenth Day of July last past William Page< no role > and
Anne Page< no role > his Wife were removed and Conveyed from the
Parish of St. Paul Shadwell in the said County of Middx
to the said Parish of Thames Ditton in the said County
of Surrey as the place of their last legal settlement agt
which order or Warrant The sd. Churchwardens & Overseers
of the poor on the behalfe of themselves & the rest of the
Inhabitants of the sd. parish of Thames Ditton Do Appeale to this Court
thinking themselves agrieved there by

Your Petrs. Humbly Pray yor. Worships will be pleased
to appoint a certain Day of next Sessions for tryall
of the Merits of the said Appeale

And your Petrs. as in Duty bound will
ever pray Etc.
