To the Worshipfull his Majties: Justices of the
Peace for the County of Middx in their General
Quarter Sessions Assembled

The Humble peticon & Appeal of the
Church Wardens and Over seers of the poor of the
parish of St. Thomas the apostle in the City of
London

Sheweth

That by Order of Removal Dated the Seventh
day of September last under the hands & Seals of Thomas
Cotton
< no role > This name instance is in set 3506. & Thomas Mulso< no role > Esqrs. two of his Majties Justices of the
peace (whereof one is of the Quorum) for the county of
Middx
That Ann Staples< no role > Wife of Thos. Staples< no role > & their Child
Named William< no role > aged abt. 14 Months who are therein mentioned to have lately intruded &
come into the parish of St. Anne in the Liberty of Westminster in the said County thereto Inhabit as
parishoners contray to the Laws relating to the Settlement
of the poor were from thence removed to the sd parish Saint Thomas of the Apostle
asand Thatthe last legall place of Settlement of the
said Ann Staples & her sd Child [..] in the sd parish of St. Thames
the Apostles

That yor petitoners are aggreived by the sd. Order
of Removal & Appeal agt. the same this Court

Your petrs. humbly prayes yor
Worshipps to make an Order That
the sd. Churchwardens and Overseers of
the poor of the sd. parish of St: Anns
Westmr. in the sd. County of Middx &
all other psons concerned Do attend
this Court some day this Session to hear
the final. Determination & Order of this
Court in relation of the premisses
