To the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish ofSaint Martin in the Fields in the Liberty of Westminster
in theCounty of Middlesex
and to the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish ofSaint Clement Danes
in theCounty of Middlesex
And to each and every of them.

Whereas Complaint hath been made by you the Church-wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish ofSaint
Martin in the Fields unto us whose Hands
and Seals are hereunto set, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
(whereof one is of the Quorum) for theLibertyaforesaid,
ThatSarah Harris< no role > the Widow of John Harris< no role > and
her Child (to wit) Ann Harris< no role > aged about nine Years
have
lately intrudedthemselves-into your said Parish ofSaint
Martin in the Fields
there to inhabit asa [..] Parishionerscontrary to the Laws relating to
the Settlement of the Poor, andarethere like to become charge
able, if not timely prevented: And Whereas, upon due Examinati-
on and Enquiry made into the Premises,and also upon Oath
and other Circumstances
it appears unto us, and we accordingly adjudge, That the said
Sarah Harris< no role > and her said Child are
like to become chargeable unto the said Parish ofSaint Martin in
the Fields and that the last legal Place of
Settlement of the saidSarah Harris< no role > and her said Child
is in the said Parish of
Saint Clement Danes in the County of Middlesex aforesaid

These are therefore in his Majesty's Name, to order and require you
the said Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Saint Martin in the Fields aforesaid, that you,
of some of you, do forthwith remove and convey the saidSarah
Harris
< no role > and her said Child
from your said Parish ofSaint Martin in the
Fields to the said Parish ofSaint Clement
Danes andthemdeliver
to the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some or
one of them, together with this our Warrant; or Order, or a true
Copy hereof; whereby they are likewise required in his Majesty's
Name, and by Virtue of the Statues in such Case made, forthwith to
receive the saidSarah Harris< no role > and her said Child
into their saidParish and Careand provide forthem
as their own ParishionersThen under our Hands and Seals, the
Twenty FifthDay of Marchin the Year of our
Lord One Thousand Seven - Hundred and Thirty Five.
