Mary Cranwell< no role > the Prosecuter in this Cause Maketh Oath and
Saith That on or about the ninth of October Last The said
Dept Beat and Brused This Dept. in such Manner That her life
was Dispaired of and at the then next Sessions This Dept. Indicted
the said Deft and Caused him to be Taken up thereon By a
BenchaehWarrant which he Imediatly Bail to and
the same Sessions gave Notice and pleaded guilty to the
Same upon which This Dept. and her Witnesses attended
and Acquainted This Court The Nature of ye offence and
upon That he was Very much repremanded and sent out
to agree with This Dept. upon which thisInformaDept
went out with him and Could not Come to An agreement
with himand Came into Court again with him and then the
Court was pleased to Order him to New prison for want
of Sufficient Sureties, for his appearance the then Next Sessions
to have a fine Sett on him and This Dept. further Saith
That In four or five days following This Dept. had Notice
of Bint from the said Dept before Justice Lambert This
Dept. being the Sick In Bed and Could not Stir out by reason
of the Bruses so reced as aforesaid which Madan Inward
Ulcer In her Side and that she Vomitted Blood and Corruption for some
Time which Ulcer Still Continues and at this I Dept. is Informed
by her Surgeon She never will be right well again upon which
Notice This Dept. Caused her said Husband and the Surgeon
to Attend and oppose his being Bailed upon which as This
Dept. is Informed by her said Husband William Cranwell< no role >
That upon the Surgeon Makeing Oath of her Dangerous
Condition before the said Justice the said Dept was remanded
Back again And HisInforDept. further Saith That In the
Same afternoon as ThisIntDept. is Informed appears by
the recognizances returned That the same Day Bail was
Taken for the sd. Dept before Justice Middford without any
further Notice given and That This Dept. Saith that She
did not Know of the said Dept being Bailed Till the same
Night he Came home and That Mr Justice Middford refused
to give an Account who the Bail were and That This Dept.
was Obliged to Search In the said recognizances returned for the names and
hath enguired after the same and find them Insufficient
