To the Right Worship full his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the
County of Middlesex in General Quarter Sessions at Hicks Hall
assembled.

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the Church wardens
and Over seers of the Poor of the Parish of St. Paul Covent
Garden in the said County.

Sheweth


That by an Order under the hands and Seals of Miles Harper< no role >
and John Ellis< no role > Esquires two of his Majesty's Justices of the peace (Quor
unus)for the City and Libty of Westmr. as their in is mentioned. bearing-
date the Twelfth day of June InstattWilliam Mellens< no role > aged about
Forty Seven Years and Ann < no role > his Wife were removed from the Parish of St.
James Westminister in the said County of Middlesex to the said Parish
of St. Paul Covent Gardens their last Legall place of Settlement.-

Your Petitioner thinking themselves Aggreived
by the Judgement of the said Two Justices of the
Peace Appeal to this Court against the same
and desire to be releived there in

And Your Petitioners shall ever pray, and so forth

At the General Quarter Sessions of the Peace of our Lord
the King Holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall
in St. John Street in the said County on Mondayto witt
the twenty Fifthday of June in the Seventh Year
of the Reign of our Soveraign Lord George the second
King of Great Britain and so Forth.

It is Ordered by this Court that the Church wardens and Overseers
of the poor of the parish of St. James Westminister in this County have
Notice of this Appeal, and that they and all persons Concerned do attend
this Court on Friday next at ten of the Clock in the Forenoon
to hear and abide the Judgement and Determina-
-tion of this court touching the said Appeale.
