To the Rt. Worshipfull his Majties
Justices of the Peace in Sessions assembled at
Hicks's Hall in St. John Street in & for the
County of Middx

The humble Petition St John Griffith< no role > of the parish of St.
Sepulchres without in the County of Middx Cordwainer

Sheweth

That yor. Petr. liveing in Redly in Court inthe
the parish of St. Sepulchres afsd; where he rents a house of the
annuall rent of 17th. P ann One tnr. Hall & one in Bush
overseers of the Pish came abt. fortnight agsd to yor. Petr house & there made
a distress & carryed away severall things [..] of vallue under
pretence of Seizing the same for want of yor. Petrs. paying
a poor to which your Petr. humbly a pprehends was only
an Imposition on him the & Severall Neighbours who pay
equally in their rents & live in the same court & parish
paying nothing at all towards Church poor [..] Scavengr.
& as your Petr. can make appear by the affids. of sever.
Psons Inhabitants there although severall persons who
rent houses of greater rent & there that yor. petr and are
per [..] of for greater worth than yor petr are excused from
paying any dutys to the poor

Yor. Petr. therefore most
humbly prays yor. worship's eill
be pleased to order the overseers
of the sd. parish to attend yor.
worsp. in this honoble Court to
shew Cause why the sd. goods
may not be restored to your
petr. or that yor. petr. make
otherwise releived in the prmes
as to yor Worsps shall seem
meet

And yor. Petr. shall Ever pray Etc
