Manior of Respect


The facts Complained of, and which have been proved on Oath before us in the presence
of Mr. Whynyates are these

1.


That Mr. Whynyates Soon after he was made a Justice of Peace went to a Watch house in
St. Gyles's twixt One and two a Clock in the Morning, where he found a Constable and his Beadle and Some,
Watch Men and threatned to Send the Constable to Newgate, and Menaced, and affrighted, the Beadle in
Such manner that he run Away, and Mr Whinyates after took a Woman along with him that the [..] in the Watch house a [..]
who had, as the Constable then told him, been taken up as a law person misbehaving her self (after the
Watch was Sett) in the Street, and Carried her to a reputed Bawdy housd; where he remained with her Some
hours, And, as she was ready to Swear, had Carnal Knowledge of her, And went home with her in the
Morning to her Lodging

That in September last aboutone a Clock in the MorningNine a Clock at Night a Headborough,with his
Watchman going their Rounds
in Drury Lane , met Mr. Whynyates by Appoint [..] who toldtheirhim he was a Justice
of Peace and that thesaid ConstableHeadbarow must go along with him, That is acordingly he went to a reputed
Bawdy
