Whereas it appeareth unto us whose hands and seales
are here unto sett Two of her Majties: Justices of the peace for the
said County(Quorum unus) upon the Complaint of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the poor of the parish of St. Gyless in the feilds in
the said County that John Howell< no role > with Margere< no role > his Wife is
lately come into the said Parish endeavoring to settle themselves
there without giveing notice in Writeing to the said Church [..]
Wardens or Overseers of the poor or any one of them of the
House of their abode in the sd Parish according to the
Statate in that case made and provided. And that the sd
John Howell< no role > hath not been any House keeper, Hired yearly
servant or Apprentice in the said Parish

And Whereas it appreareth unto us she said justices that the
said John Howell< no role > and Margere< no role > his Sd Wife are likely to be-
-come chargeable to the said parish

And Whereas it alsoe appeareth unto us she said justices
upon Oath that she said John Howell< no role > was last Legally
settled in Christ Church parish in London where he was
an apprentice to one Mr:Rapley a shoemaker and
with whome he served The Terme of seven years, And hath
not obtained any Legall Settlement Since.

Therfore we the sd justices doe ajudge the Legall Settlemt.
of the St John Howell< no role > and Margore his Sd Wife to be in
Christ Church Parish in London aforesd:

These are therefore in her Majties: name to will and require
you upon sight here of to remove and Convey the said
John Howell< no role > and Margore his said Wife from the sd
parish of St Gyles's in the feilds in the sd County To Christ
Church parish in London aforesd and deliver them
unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor there
who are hereby required to provide for them According
to Law Here of feild not at your perills Given Under
our Hands and seales the 23d day May: Anne Doun :1709
