The following Memorial relative to the Rebuilding of Brentford
Bridge having been laid before the Court by James Clitherow< no role >

read Vizt.
To the Worshipful His Majestys Justices of the Peace
for the
County of Middlesex
in Sessions Assembled.
A Memorial of several of the Trustees appointed, amongst
others for putting in execution several Acts of Parliament for
repairing the Highways from Counters Bridge in the Parish of
Kensington
in the County of Middlesex
through the Towns of
Brentford
and Hounslow
to the Powder Mills in the Road to
Staines and to Cranford Bridge
in the Road to Colnbrook
and
Other Roads leading out of the said Main Road towards Kingston
upon Thames in the said Acts particularly described
Sheweth
That the Brick Bridge over the River Brent at Brentford
aforesaid in the said Main Road so directed to be repaired is a County
Bridge
and was rebuilt in its present form about Fifty Years ago or
upwards at the Expence of the County and hath since been kept in repair
in like manner by the said County.
