The Question was then put Whether this is to be
considered as a County Bridge, which was carried in the Negative

Whether the County should repair this Bridge, When it
was also determined that the County should not repair the same
and the Parties were acquainted with the determination of the Court
thereon.

By Adjournment same day

Mr Stirling having laid before the Court a Counterpart
of the Lease from the Justices of Lord Northampton of the piece of
Ground in the front of the Session House for the Term of Ninety
nine years at a Rent of One Shilling that being the longest term
for which by the Family settlement they were impowered to grant
Leases, Resolved that the same should be accepted notwithstanding
the variation from that originally proposed to have been granted

It being represented unto this Court, that divers
Persons have of late shewed forth and exposed to sale their
Goods Wares and Merchandizes and openly exercised their
ordinary Trades and Callings on the Lords day commonly called
Sunday; and particularly that Carriers drovers waggoners, Carmen,
Butchers, Higlers, and their Servants do contrary to and in
defiance of the Laws in that behalf made and ordained, travel
and carry on their Worldly labour and business on the Lords day,
and that the due and religious observance thereof hath been
greatly neglected and profaned notwithstanding his Majestys late
Proclamation calling upon all Persons at this time to pay
Obedience to the Laws and diligently to attend to the observance of
the Lords day,in violation of the Laws, in contempt of Order and
Decency, and to the great scandal of the Christian Religion
Now this Court taking the Premises into serious consideration
in order to prevent and punish all such Abuses Do hereby
recommend it to His Majestys Justices of the Peace acting in and
