Resolved that this Court would not be warranted in
considering this as a County Bridge.
Ordered that the Clerk of the Peace
do transmit to Mr
Prescott a Copy of the Report of the County Surveyor and at the same
time request him to communicate to the other Gentlemen interested in
the said Petition the said Report and the Resolution of the Court thereon

It having been suggested to the Court that the Vagrant Act
passed in the last Session of Parliament would very much alter the
System of the Vagrant Laws Resolved that it be referred to the

and Report their Opinion thereon to the Court and that the said
Committee do meet on this subject and on the subject of the Petition of

The committee for Building the House of Correction having stated
to the Court that they should be in want of £1000 to pay to several
of the Tradesman who had performed Work at the said Building
before they would be able to receive sufficient to Discharge the same
Ordered that the County Treasurer
do advance the Sum of £1000
to the Treasurer of the Monies received towards defraying the Expence
of building the said House of Correction
to be repaid out of the first,
Money received by him.
