Dr. Glasse laid before the Court a Proposal of George
Odell for executing the drains to the New intended House of
Correction with dry Bricks in lieu of those which are directed
by the Plans and the same being read as follows Vizt.
Proposals for digging and making the drains to the
Building of the New House of Correction.
Digging at P Yard Cube£0..0s..7d
including filling in the Ground over the
drains Levell to the surface from which
the Frenches were dug:
do.throwing out ground where it may carve in at

Brickwork of drains 2 feet 6 Inches diameter in the
clear work'd only. in ½ a Brick thick either dry, with
Gravel, or in Mortar.} £0..2s..3d
Steaning of the Wells dry or in Mortar as P former
Contract at P Rod.} £8..12.-
N.B. The Ground where the above Work is to be
Executed, to be strutted up by committee's
Carpenter
, at their Expence wherever it may be
wanted or thought necessary by their Clerk of
the Works.

And it appearing to this Court that the said Proposal had been
examined by the Committee and that the Prices therein are fair
and reasonable Resolved that the Court upon the Recommendation
of the said Committee do agree with the said George Odell< no role >
for the Work
therein mentioned.
