Resolved that the said Report be received and
confirmed and that the Clerk of the Peace do issue the usual
Orders upon the Treasurer of this County for the payment of the
several Sums therein mentioned amounting together to the Sum
of £119..14..5.

By Adjournment same day.

Dr Glasse reported to the Court that it was the
Opinion of the Committee for carrying on the Building of the
new House of Correction in Cold Bath fields that is should be
recommended to His Majestys Justices of the Peace for this
County in Session assembled to advertize to let the Ground on the.
South and last sides of the Boundary Wall upon a Building
Lease for 99 years from Midsummer next at a Pepper Corn
Rent for the first Two years and at the greatest Nett Ground
Rent P foot that may be offered for the remainder of the Term
giving notice that the Builders will be confined to the Plan
now produced by Mr Rogers to the Committee, That the
Houses are to be of the third Rate of Building and that no
Erections or Buildings are to be made within the distance of
Forty Feet from the Boundary Wall of the new intended House
of Correction (except Fence Walls not exceeding Eight feet high)
and that Proposals will be received at the next General Quarter
Session of the Peace to be holden for this County for letting the
same, and that in the Mean time the Plan may be inspected
the Levels of the Footways known, and further particulars had
be applying to Mr Rogers the County Surveyor at his Office
at the new intended House of Correction.

Resolved that the said Recommendation be
adopted and agreed to and that Mr Rogers do prepare a
Particular to lay before Persons proposing to take the same
and that it be advertized in the usual manner in the public
Papers that the abovementioned Ground is to be lett on a
Building Lease and that the Proposals for taking the same
