William Mainwaring< no role > Esqr . the Chairman Moved, That
the Thanks of this Court should be returned to The Reverend
Dr. Glasse for his excellent Sermon Preached at the Opening of
the New House of Correction for the County of Middlesex and that
Dr Glasse be requested to give his permission that a sufficient
number of the same may be Printed to be from time to time
distributed amongst the Prisoners At the said House of Correction
which being seconded was carried Unanimously in the Affirmative
And Dr. Glasse having been pleased to signify his assent thereto
Resolved that 500 Copies of the same be Printed under the
inspection of Dr Glasse who has kindly undertaken to superintend
the same and that the Expence thereof and also of such Copies as
have been already printed be paid for at the Expence of the County

By Adjournment same day

Mr Samuel Newport< no role > the Keeper of New Prison at
Clerkenwell having laid before the Court a Certificate stating that
the undermentioned Articles are wanted for the use of the Prisoners
in the New Prison Vizt.

I Samuel Newport< no role > Keeper of New Prison at Clerkenwell Do
Hereby Certify that the under mentioned Articles are wanted for the
use of the Prisoners in the said Prison Vizt. Three Dozen of Mens
Shoes, Two Dozen of Men and Boys Jackets, One Dozen of Mens
Shirts, Two Dozen of Men and Boys Stockings, One Dozen of Womens
Shifts, Two Dozen of Womens Shoes, One Dozen of Womens
Stockings - Therefore present the same to His Majestys. Justices
of the Peace for the County of Middlesex at the Session House
assembled to order the same.

Ordered that the same be forthwith provided by Mr Bonus
of the same quality as those furnished by him for the use of the
Prisoners in the New House of Correction .
