Resolved that the said Report be Received and that the thanks
of this Court be returned to Patrick Colquhoun< no role > Esqr for his care and attention
at the House of Correction as a visiting Justice and for the great pains and
trouble which he has been at informing the said Report.

Resolved that so much of the Report as relates to Mr Owen be
communicated to him by the Clerk of the Peace Vizt.

"It is with great pleasure that the visiting Magistrates bear
"testimony of the singular merit Zeal and Ability's of The Reverend
"Mr Owen to whose peculiar and apposite mode of instructing the Prisoners
"is to be attributed a greater appearance of Attention and even Devotion than
"perhaps is to be found in any Prison in Europe. The attendance of the
"Prisoners is regular and their behaviour decent and proper one at least
"of the visiting Justices have considered it as their Duty to be always present
"during Divine Service on Sunday and they have uniformly been gratified
"in an eminent degree in consequence of the apparent impression which the
"religious and moral instructions" delivered by Mr Owen seemed to make
"upon the minds of the Prisoners who appear to be much Attached to
"their Pastor".

Resolved that the Sum of £19..10..0 being the Salary due to
Michael Gamson< no role > who has officiated as Task master at the New House
of Correction in Cold Bath fields from the 17th. day of November last to the
16th. day of February Instant at the Rate of £1..10..0 P Week be paid to him
and that the clerk of the Peace do issue an Order the Treasurer of the
County for payment thereof.

Resolved that the said Michael Gamson< no role > be appointed Task
master at the New House of Correction for this County during the pleasure
of this Court at a Salary of Seventy Pounds P Annum. to commence from
the 16th. Instant and that he be allowed to reside within the Walls of the
Prison.

Resolved that the other matters contained in the said
Report be referred to a Committee to take the same into consideration
and that;
