of the Ground Building and Premes can be delivered to His Majesty's
Justices that this Business should not be further proceeded in nor the
Money paid, Which being Seconded was Agreed to and Messrs..
Bentley & Tilbury having agreed to wait upon the Tenant to know
"Whether he was willing to give up the possession of the Premes to the
Magistrates when required" and to Return an answer to the Court
returned and informed the Court that the Tenant was ready to give up
the Possession of whatever part of the Premes was wanted when required
By adjournment same day
Mr Stirling having informed the Court that he had received the
Keys of the Tap House at the New Prison
together with the following
Note from Mr Bond the late Tenant thereof Vizt. "Sir In Consequence
of a notice I Recevd. from you by Order of the Magistrates to quit the
Kings Arms St James's
Walk St James Clerkenwell
by the 25th March
1787 Sir I hear comply to the Order by Sending the Keys Sir I am
Yours Etc Richd Bond" - Ordered that the said Keys be delivered
to Mr Newport the Keeper of the said New Prison
for him to Examine
the State of the Said Tap House.
