Report and Requested that they might have leave to sit again under the said
Referrence and that an adjournment day might be appointed to Receive and consider
the said Plan and Estimates together with the Report of the said Committee on the
other matters referred to them by the abovementioned Order - Resolved
that Wednesday the 29th. day of March next be appointed for that purpose,
and that this Court be (at the End of the present Session) adjourned to that
Day and that a Circular Letter be sent to His Majestys Justices of the peace
for this County acquainting them thereof

Mr. Gibbes the Apothecary to New Prison and the House of Correction at
Clerkenwell attending the Court in pursuance of the Order made for that
purpose on the County day of the last Session was informed by the Chairman
That the Bills for Necessaries delivered to the Sick Prisoners in the said Prisons
had of late Years greatly increased and desired him to State to the Court the
reason of such Increase, Whereupon Mr. Gibbes informed the Court "That it
was owing to the great Number of Prisoners that were ill, being upon the
average about Thirty" and then A Motion was made and Seconded That it
be Referred To the Committee appointed "to Consider the Allegations
contained in a Petition delivered by Henry Adams< no role > This name instance is in set 1591. Contractor for Conveying
Vagrants in through and out of this County and all other Circumstances
Relative to the passing Vagrants as they may think proper" to consider how
the same may be prevented in future - Which being carried in the
Affirmative It was moved That the said Committee do meet at this
place on Saturday the fourth day of March next at 11 o'Clock in the forenoon
precisely, Which being agreed to It was Resolved accordingly - It
was also Moved that the Committee appointed to prepare a Plan proper
for a House of Correction and for other Purposes do meet at this place on
Saturday the Eighteenth day of March next at Eleven o'Clock in the
forenoon precisely which being agreed to was Resolved accordingly.
