January 1787

Mr Holland moved that so much of the Order of this
Court made in October Session last as relates to the raising the Sum of
£30,000 by Tontine at £4 P Ct. for Purchasing Ground for Building the House
of Correction Etc be rescinded, which being Seconded was carried in the
affirmative.

Sir Robert Taylor< no role > then moved that the Sum of
£30,000 be raised by Tontine at £4..10s P Ct. for purchasing Ground for
Building the House of Correction and other purposes mentioned in the
Act of Parliament of the 26th. Year of his present Majesty entitled" an Act
"to Enable the Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex to raise Money
"in manner therein mentioned for erecting a House of Correction within
"the said County" and that a proposal to that Effect be prepared and that
it be referred to the Committee appointed to raise the said Money to carry
the same into Execution, which being Seconded was carried in the
affirmative.

By adjournment same day

The following Report from the Committee appointed to
Examine and adjust from time to time the Account or Accounts of
the Treasurer of this County as well with Respect to his Receipts as his
Expenditures and also to examine and audit all demands of what
nature or kind soever made on this County previous to the payment
thereof being laid before the Court Vizt..

To His Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County
of Middlesex in their General Quarter Session of the Peace holden for the said
County in the Month of January 1787 assembled

The Report of the Committee appointed to Examine and
audit from time to time the Account or Accounts of the Treasurer
of this County as well with respect to his Receipts as his Expenditures
and also to Examine and Audit all demands of what nature or
kind soever made on this County previous to the Payment
thereof
