The means of suppling
the prisoners in the County

to consn. and public makes

Resolved that this Court will on Monday next at the hour
of Twelve at noon take into consideration the means for better supplying
the Prisoners confined in the House of Correction
at Clerkenwell
and
New prison
at Clerkenwell
with Bread. and that in the mean time an
Advertisement be inserted giving notice that the Justices will be then
ready to receive proposals from Bakers for supplying the said prisoners
with the best Wheaten Bread

A Motion was made that this Court do agree with
the people called Quakers for the purchase of their Interest in the Ground
and Buildings situate in the parish Saint James Clerkenwell
held
by them under Lease from His Majestys Justices of the Peace
for this
County as proposed by the said Quarkers at the Sum of £1600 the
Quakers giving immediate possession of that part of the Premises
called the Garden Ground
and undertaking to give up the possesion of
the several Messuages and other parts of the premises held under the
said Lease within two Years from the present time or sooner if they
can obtain suitable Accommodations for the purposes of their Charity
After Debate the Question being put it passed Unanimously in the
Affirmative

to carry into execution

A Motion was then made that a Committee be appointed
to carry into Execution the above Resolution and Complete the said
purchase and also to consider of a proper compensation to be made to

who now Rents the said Garden Ground of the
Quakers for the loss he may sustain on Account of the said Garden Grod.
being given up as aforesaid and the same being agreed to It was
