And the Resolutions come to at the last Session of the Peace
holden for this County touching the Premises being called for and Read
and the following Advertisement being also read Vizt.

Office of the Clerk of the Peace June 20th. 1783

"Middlesex

"To His Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said County

Advertisement giving
[..] ive the above report
could be taken into
consideration}

"Notice is hereby given that the Report of the Committee appointed
"at the General Session of the Peace holden for the said County in the Month
"of February last To enquire whether any spot of Ground can be had in
"the vicinity of the Session house proper for the erection of a House of
"Correction and upon what Terms "will" be taken into consideration on
"Thursday the 24th. day of July next being the County day of the
"Midsummer Session"

As also the subsequent Papers Vizt.

Justices possession of

At a Six Weeks Meeting the 24th. of 6th Mo.1783

Jacob Hagen< no role > from the Committee appointed to receive
the answer of the Justices of the County of Middlesex , respecting the
purchase of the Premises in Clerkenwell now occupied as a School
& Workhouse reports, that it appears to be the wish of the Justices, two
of whom were depicted to attend the Committee to obtain immediate
possession of the Garden adjoining to the said Workhouse for the
purpose of enlarging the Prison

And it is concluded by this Meeting that, provide the
said Justices agree to the Terms already proposed for the sale of the
whole Premises & that the Person who now occupies the Garden be
compensated by them for his Interested therein: the said Garden shall
be immediately given up to them.
