Table of their Fees appear upon the Records till the Year 1763 when
the following Tables are recorded Vizt.

A Table of Fees to be taken at New Prison

For Keeping and discharging every Prisoner committed by Warant-..4s 6d
For turning the Key at every such Prisoners discharge1s -
For a Copy of Commitment-..1s.4d
For going with any Person before a Justice-..1s.-

Prisoners brought in by Constables of the Night and carried
before a Justice} -..2s.-

A Table of Fees to be taken at the House of Correction at Clerkenwell
For keeping and discharging every Prisoner committed by Warrant-..4s.6d
For turning the Key at every such Prisoners discharge1s -
For a Copy of Commitment1s..4d
For going with any Person before a Justice-.1s -

Prisoners brought in by Constables of the Night and carried
before a Justice} -.2s.-

And these fees seem to have been for some time before
the usual fees That in the several orders respecting these remises
the Justices seem to have entertained an idea that they had power
to raise or lessen the Fess and in more than one instance reduced
the Fees at both Prisoners to a level tho' what was reduced does not
appear In one of the Orders it appears that 8s./6d. had been taken
at New Prison as the accustomed Fee. that in the Year 1775 the fee
for keeping and discharging every Prisoner committed by
Warrant only was raised to Six shillings and hath so
Continued since that time without alteration.

A Motion was made that so much of the said
Report last aforesaid be referred back to the said Committee for
further consideration the same being agreed to It is Ordered
that so much of the said Report last aforesaid be and the same
is hereby referred back to the said Committee for their further
consideration accordingly.
