same and do all other matters and things in the Executions
thereof a shall be fit and necessary The Committee Resolved that
the Haymarket should be repaved and that such of the old Pebble [..]
as may be found in the said street and are not less than six
Inches deep be used as for as the same will go and that the Ro [..]
be new Pebbles not less than 8 Inches deep Nor more than 10 a [..]
advertized for proposals accordingly that the Committee had
several proposals and examined the author of them but some of
the proposers objecting to lower their Chargers unless they knew
what Term they were to keep the Pavement in repair The
Committee resolved that the Contract for the repair of the pavement
should be 21 YearsUpon the whole it appeared that the
proposal william Staines< no role > was much the Cheapest he have
undertaken to pave such part of the Haymarket as he
should be desired to do with new pebbles of the Size and dimen [..]
above mentioned to be laid in the best clean Screened Grave la [..]
3s. P Yd-To relay such old Pebbles as should be approved
in the Best Gravel as aforesaid at 6d. P Yard-and to keep
the Pavement in good repair for 21 Years at one penny per Y [..]
per Annum and therefore the Committee agreed with the [..]
William Staines< no role > to repave the Haymarket and keep there
in repair at the before mentioned prices and ordered the Cl [..]
to prepare a proper Contract accordingly which the Clerk
having done and the Committee having perused the same
and approved thereof the Committee recommend it to the Co [..]
to confirm the said Agreement and to authorize and empo [..]
certain persons in behalf of themselves and the rest of H [..]
Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex
enter into the said Contract and agreement and as these
agreement ought to be executed by some of his Majestys [..]
of the Peace for the City and Liberty of Westminster The
Committee do recommend it to those Gentlemen to emp [..]
certain Persons of their Body to execute the same in lik [..]
manner

A motion was upon this made and seconded
that this Court do agree with this part of the Committees
report and the same being Resolved It is Ordered that
such part of the said Report as last above said becon [..]
and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed accordingly
