in this County hath been deceased some time since And
Nicholas

of Enfield
Butcher
hath been nominated to serve the said Office in his
Stead Now upon Reading and duly considering the Petition of the said
Nicholas Phipps< no role >
praying to be Excused from serving the said Office for the
Present This Court doth Appoint
Joseph Stokes< no role >
of Enfield
in the said Hundred
of Edmonton
to be High Constable
within the same Hundred in the Room and
place of the said
Jonathan Brown< no role >
And this Court doth Order that the said
Joseph Stokes< no role >
do forthwith Attend
Israel Jalabert< no role >
Esquire
or some other of his
Majestys Justices of the Peace
for this County And take his Oath for his due
Execution of his Office of High Costable
within the said Hundred or else
Attend the Court at the next Session of the Peace to be holden for the County
on Tuesday the Twenty first day of May next to take his said Oath
