hold the Shrievalty of the County in Farm a Printed Copy of an Insexim [..]
Charter which Includes in it all the Ancient Charters granted to the City is
extant It is a small Octave without a Date but is supposed to have
been published about the time of the Determination in the Case of the Qus
Warrants under Colour whereof King Chas. 2d. seized the City Charters
into his Hands

The said Account being duty considered is unanimously approved of by this Court
Ordered that the thanks of this Court be given to the said Mr Hawkins for the
great trouble he has taken on behalf of this County in preparing the said Acct.
Ordered that the said Account as also the Several Particulars produced from the
City of London before the Committee of the House of Commons containing the
amount of the Sums reced. for Sheriffs Fines for the Impost on Coals for the
Materials of the City Gates Etc. be entered into the Books of the Sessions.

An account of monies paid into the Chamber of London by several persons,
as fines for their refusing to serve the Office of Sheriffs of London and Sheriff
of Middx


From the year 1672 to the year 1763 both Inclusive as

From the year 1672 to 1730 the money arising from the
Sheriffs fines was applied to help to defray the Exigencis of the City

From the year 1730 to 1757 the produce was appropriated
towards Building the Mansion House

And from 1757 to this Time towards the Building the new Bridge 10.800 - -
