His Majesties Justices of the Peace for the County of Middx assembled at this
present General session of the peace holden for the said County by adjournment
on Thursday the thirteenth day of September instant as continue and elect
Thomas Lane< no role > Esqr . to be Chairman of the General Quarter and General Sessions
of the Peace to be holden for the said County of Middx between Michaelmas
164 and Lady day then next ensuing and do order that the thanks of this
Court be and the same are hereby given to the said Thomas Lane< no role > Esqr , for,
the great services by him done to this County in the publick Administration
of Justice

Upon reading and duly considering the Contents of a Letter from Charles
Palmer Esqr. one of the Justices of the peace for this County residing in the
Division of Finsbury dated from Canbury House thirteenth of September one
thousand seven hundred and Sixty four and under Cover directed to Thomas
Lane Esquire the Chairman of the Session and another Letter (without any name
Subscribed) therein referred to an inclosed containing some supposed facts
relative to Publick Victualling Houses in that Neighbourhood and Sunday.
Irregularities this Court in regard thereof doth hereby refer the matters of
Complaint therein mentioned to the Justices acting for the said Division
to Examine into the truth thereof that the same may be properly redressed
as they shall see fitting And the said Mr Palmer is hereby desired to
be present when the said Justices meet again pursuant to their adjournmt
in order to Satisfy them of several of the Particulars contd, in his said Letters
