Know All men by these presents that
J John Turner< no role > of Lewis in the County of Sussex (but
now being in London) Watchmaker am held and firmly
bound to Thomas Lane< no role > George Errington< no role > & Bartholomew
Hammond Esquires Justices of Our Sovereign Lord the
King Assigned to Keep the Peace in the County of Middx.
in Five Hundred Pounds of Good and Lawful Money
of Great Britain to be paid to the said Thomas Lane< no role >
George Errington< no role > and Bartholomew Hammond< no role > or their
certain Attorney Extors Admors or Assignes To which
payment to be well and truly made I bind myself my
Heirs Extors and Admors firmly by these presents
Sealed with my Seal Dated the Twenty Fifth Day of
September in the Year of Our Lord in mlctri. And in the
First Year of the Reign of King George the Third by the
Grace of God over Great Britain Etc.

Whereas His Majestys Justices of the peace in the General
Sessions Assembled Did On Thursday the Seventeenth Day of this
Instant September Elect Nominate and Appoint the Above bound
John Turner< no role > to be Governor and Keeper of the House of Correction at
Clerkenwell in the said County in the Room and Stead of William Jones< no role >
deced late Governor and keeper thereof to hold and Enjoy the said
Place or Imployment during the Pleasure of the Justices of the
Peace within the said County of Middx. in their General Quarter or
General Sessions Assembled or to be Assembled or the Major part
of them Now the Condition of this Obligation is such
that if the said John Turner< no role > do and shall keep his Constant Residence
at the said House of Correction during such time as he shall
Continue Governor and Keeper of the same And execute & perform
the said Office or Employment in his Own Person and not by Deputy
and well and Faithfully demean himself therein And also if the
said John Turner< no role > his Executors or Administrators do and shall well and
Truly pay or cause to be paid unto the Sheriff of the said County for the time
being or his Order for the Use of His present Majesty King George the
Third his Keer's and Successors all such Sum and Sums of Money as
already have been or hereafter shall be imposed or Set for any Fine
or Fines by any of the Justices of the peace for the said County Assembled
at any of their General Quarter or General Sessions of the Peace
for the said County On any Prisoner or Prisoners committed or to
