A Bill of Indictment being preferred and found this Day by the Grand
Inquest of this County against

the present Keeper of New Prison
at Clerkenwell
(together with one
Wm. Darvell< no role >
) for the Crime of Felony and
Murder It is thought fitt and Ordered by this Court that the said William
Pentlow be and he is hereby absolutly suspended from his Place or Office
of Keepership of the said Prison until further Order madeby his Matys
Justices of the Peace assembled in General Session of the Peace for this
County And it is further Ordered and Directed that

aforesaid be and he is Unanimously appointed to the Care
and keeping of New Prison
aforesaid in the Stead and place of the said

be there committed To hold the same Office and Keepership during the
suspension of the said

And to receive have and hold the Fees
and Profitts of the said Keepership of the New Prison
aforesaid And to be
under and Subject to the Direction and superintendance of a Committee
hereby Authorized to inspect manage and superintend the same so as
that due Care be taken of the Goods and other things belonging to the Estate
of this County by the said
