£.1600. County Rate.

At the General Quarter Session of the Peaces of
over Sovereign Lord< no role > the Thing Begun and holden for
the County at Middx at Hick's Hall in John Street in the County
aforesaid on Monday the Twenty sixth day of June
in the thirty second year of the reign of our Sovereign
Lord George the Second Thing of Great Britain Etc

and others their Follows Justices of our said Lord the
King Assigned to keep the Pence in the County aforesaid
And also to hear and determine divers Felonies
Trespasses and other Misdeeds Committee in the
same County and from thence Continued by several
Adjournments untill this day (to wit) Thursday
the 29th: day of the same Month of Time in the year
aforesaid And on the same day holden by Adjournment
at Hick's Hall in St. John Street aforesaid in and for
the said County before the abovenamed Justices
and other their Fellows aforesaid

Whereas by virtue of an Act of Parliament made in the twelfth
Year of the reign of his present Majesty King George the Second
Intituled an Act for the more easy Assessing Collecting and
Levying of County Rates, The Justices of the Peace in that part of
Great Britain called England within the respective Limits
of their Comissions at their General or Quarter Sessions or the
Greater Part of them then and there Assembled have full Power and
Authority from time to time to make on a General Rate or
Assessment for such Sum or Sums of money as the Justices
in their Discretion shall think sufficient to Answer All and
Every the Ends and Purposes mentioned in the said Act Now
for as much as it appeareth unto this Court that three fourths
of the money of the last Rate made in October Sessions last past
1757 being the last Preceeding Rate hath Been paid paid & expended
to Answer the Ends and Purposes mentioned in the said Act of
Parliament And That it is Necessary that a Considerable Sum of
Money should be raised & a Rate made upon the Towns
Parishes & Places in the said County for raising of Money to an over the several
Ends & purposes mentioned in the said Act of Parliament This Court upon & Considn: of the
Premesis of opinion and doth accordingly Order that a General Rate be made & assessed
upon every Town Parish or Place in the said County for raising the Sum of £1600. which this County doth
think necessary to be raised for the Purposes aforesaid And to the Intent the same Sum may be raised for
the purposes aforesaid This Court by Virtue of the said Act doth assess upon every Town parish &
Place herein after mentioned in the respective Hundreds & Divisions in the said County of Middx
and within the Introduction and Authority of this Court according to the proportion they have been usually
assessed toward raising of Moneys for the passing and relieving of Vagrants the Respective Sums
of Money following (that is to say)
