peace which this Court doth order to be left with the Clerk of the Peace to be
delivered outorsent to the acting Justices of the Peace of this County And it
appearing to this Court that Mr. John Higgs< no role > hath been at great trouble and
pains in attending the said Justices transcribing the said publick orders
into one volume and in and about Causing the same to be printed It is
thereupon Ordered that the said Mr. Higgs be allowed the sum of ten Guineas
for his trouble and pains abovementioned and that he being Treasurer of
this County do retain the same to his own use out of the rents of the Estate
belonging to the said County and that the same be allowed to him upon his
account And it is further ordered by this Court that the sum of ten pounds
nineteen shillings & ten pence be paid by the said Mr. Higgs as Trearer out of the said County
rents unto Mr.Franklin< no role > Printer due to him upon his Bill for
printing the said 500 volumes and folding and sowing on blue paper
to Cover the same in full of his said Demand and that his reciept
together with this order shall be a sufficient discharge to the said Mr. Higgs< no role >
for such payment.

By Adjornment on Thursday ye. 22d. day of Feb: 1753 before

Order against Drivers
of Wheelbarrows [..]
Dice & Throwers at Cocks
Etc.}

It being represented unto this Court on this twenty second day of February
instant that divers loose idle and disorderly Persons being drivers of [..]
Wheelbarrows with Dice, go about the Streets Lanes and Allies and open
places in Westminster Division, the Tower Division Holborn Division
Finsbury Division and other Divisions in this County inticing and seducing
servants Apprentices and other unwary Persons to throw and play at Dice
which such Drivers of Wheelbarrows, who Cheat and defraud them of their
Moneys, which this Court doth adjudge to be a publick Grievance And it
being further represented to this Court that severall other Loose Tole
and disorderly Persons do in a Riotous Manner, in open Defiance of
the Laws frequently meet together and throw at Cocks, and other
Fowls with great Sticks in the publick streets and places, within the
Divisions aforesaid, whereby his Majestys Subjects, passing and repass [..]
upon their lawfull Occasions, are very much incommoded, and in danger
of being maimed in their Links, or very much hurt by throwing the
aforesaid Sticks, and that such Streets and Places are infested
with Gamesters of various kinds who use and exercise unlawfull
Play and Gaming. This Court upon Consideration of the Premisses.
doth for the suppressing such Disorders and Mischiefs as aforesaid
Order, that the respective High Constables of the said respective
Divisions, do summon and take to their respective Assistances
