are reasonable, and Such as ought to be paid, and to State what Sum
of money is due to each Constable or other Peace Officer for the Said
Service, And to make their Report touching the Same to the Court
of Genereal Quarter or General Sessions of the Peace for this County.

By adjornment on Thursday the 10th. Day of September, 1747 .

Committee at Hickshall.}

Information being given into this Court that there hath of late born a
great deal of Horse racing in a Close or Field called White Conduit
Field in the Parish of Islington in this County In Contempt of the
Act of Parliament made for the preventing the excessive increase
of Horse races which Act is now in full force being perpectual,
And that William Cornock< no role > an Alehouse keeper who keepeth the White
Conduit House in the Said hath encouraged Such Horseracing,
It is Ordered by this Court that the Said William Cornock< no role > do attend
and produce an Account in Writing of the Christian Names
Surnames & places of Abode of the Owners & Riders of the Horses
Mares or Geldings who have lately run any Race or Races in
White Conduit Fields aforesaid and of the Persons who made the
Matches for Such Race or Races or occasioned Such Racing
in the Said Field before, Thomas Lane< no role > Esqr . Sir John Crosse< no role > Bart .
John Milner< no role > James Clitherow< no role > Thomas Burdus< no role > Henry Norris< no role >

Esqrs . Justices of the Peace of the Said County or any three or more
of them at Hickshall in St. John Street in the Said County on Thursday
the first Day of October next at ten of the Clock in the forenoon, to
whore It is recommended & referred as a Committtee to consider of
the Said Act of Parliament, and by what ways & Means the Same
may be put in Execution against Such persons as Shall appear to
the Said Committee to have offended against the tenor of the Said
Act of Parliament and to prevent Such Horseracing for the future
And It being alledged that Robert Bartholomew< no role > Occupyer of the
Said Conduit Field hath permitted the Said Races to be run therein
(which this Court is of opinion is contrary to the Said Act of
Parliament and in Contempt thereof) It is Ordered by this Court
that the Said Robert Bartholomew< no role > do attend the Said Justices of the
