pounds or the greatest part thereof hath been raised and
collected, And that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of the moneys
so raised & collected hath disbursed thereout divers Sums of
money for & towards repaire of the Said Bridges, and the
Said House of Correction, and for other purposes mentioned
in the Said Act, And whereas the money disbursed for the
repaire of Brentford Bridge hath been disbursed only for the
Secureing the Said Bridge untill there can be a proper Season
for rebuilding the Said Bridge it being absolutely necessary
that the Same be rebuilt in Such manner as hath been
already concerted & resolved upon, which will cost a very
considerable Sum of money to do the Same, over & above the
Surplus of the Said Sum of eight hundred pounds yet
undisposed of and it is very requisite that a considerable Sum
Should be raised by a new Rate to defray the charge of
rebuilding the Said Bridge, and for the other purposes
mentioned in the Said Act, But In regard that according to
the tenor of the Said Act no new Rate can be made untill
it Shall appear to the Court of General or Quarter Sessions of
the peace for this County by the accounts of the Treasurer of
the Same County or otherwise thatthethree Fourths of the
money collected by vertue of the Said Rate for raiseing the
Said eight hundred pounds have been expended for the
uses & purposes aforesaid, It isOrderedtherefore ordered by this
Court that it be And It is hereby recomended & referred unto
the Committee of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the peace for this
County (appointed to inspect & adjust the publick accounts of
