We the Grand Jury of and for the Body of the County of
Middlesex
have Observed with the utmost
Middx Presentment
of the Grand Jury,
Indignation and Abhorrence, that certain
printed Paper Entitled Mists Weekly Journal
Numb. 175 Saturday August 24. 1728. hath
been published and Industriously dispersed in
and about the said County, particularly in the
Suburbs of the Cities of London
and Westminster
wherein are contained, under feigned Names and
Representations, certain false, Malicious,
Seditious and Treasonable Assertions against
the Title of our most Gracious
Sovereign Lord< no role >
George the Second, our undoubted, Lawfull and
Rightifull King, to the Crown of these Realms.
and in Maintenance of the imaginary Title of
an attainted, abjured Pretender; in Sinnating
that the happy Settlement of the Succession to
the Crown in the Protestant Line in His Majestys
Royal House
, the great Security under God of
our Religion, Laws and Liberties, which
Settlement We are all engaged by our Oaths,
affections, and Interest to Support and Defend,
is an Illegal Usurpation. In which Paper are
also contained under the like feigned Names
and Representations the most false, Malicious
and Scurrilous Reflections tending to Scandalize
and Vilify His Most Excellent Majesties Secred
Person, Family and Government, to poison
the Minds of His Loyal and Faithfull Subjects
