the Kingdom of England Dominion of Wales and Town of
Berwick upon Tweed , (other than except Cottages) the
Annual or yearly Sums of Money herein after mentioned,
That is to say, Every such Dwelling House Inhabited now
Erected or which hereafter shall be Erected within the
Kingdom of England Dominion of Wales orandTown of
Berwick upon Tweed the yearly Sum of 2sh. and for every
such Dwelling House Inhabited having 10 Windows or
more and under the Number of Twenty the sum of 4s. yearly
over and above the said yearly Sum of 2s. and for every such
Dwelling House Inhabited having 20 Windows or more the
yearly Sum of 8s. over and above the said Yearly Sum of 2s.
which said Sums of Money shall be paid Yearly and every
Year during the said Town of Seven years upon the 29th. day
of Septr. and the 25th. day of March by even and equal porcons,
the first payment thereof to be made upon the 29th. day of
Sept. which shall be in the Year of our Lord 1696.

And be it further Enacted that the payments and Duties
hereby granted shall be charged only upon the Inhabitants or
Occupiers for the time being of such Dwelling House his
Executors or Administrators and not on the Landlord who
Let or Demised the same his heirs Executors Administrators
or Assigns

In the Act 8 o. Anne for Granting the New Duties
upon Houses, there are the following Clauses, Vizt,

And be it Enacted by the Authority aforesaid that for
and during the like Term of 32 Years Commencing and to be
Accounted from the said 29th. day of Septr. in the Year of our
Lord 1710 and no longer there shall be Charged Raised
Collected Levied and paid unto her Majesty her heirs and
Successors for and upon every Dwelling House Inhabited
that now is or hereafter shall be Erected or Built within
the Kingdom of Great Britain having 20 Windows or more,
the New Duties herein after mentioned, That is to say for
Every such Dwelling house having 20 Windows or more and
under the Number of 30 Windows the Yearly Sum of 10s:
And for Every such Dwelling house having 30 Windows or
more the Yearly Sum of 20s which Several and respective
Duties as to such Houses in England , Wales, and the Town of
