Report of the Committee for takeing
a view of Hickshall
Etc. Middx ss.}

Wee whose names are hereunto subscribed Justices
of the peace for the County of Middx named in the
Order of Sessions hereunto annexed Doe hereby Certify to his
Maties Justices of the peace for the said County in their General
Quarter Sessions assembled That Wee have in pursuance of
the said Order taken a view of the Sessions house of this County
called Hicks Hall in St. John Street in the said County to
see if any and what repairs are wanting and necessary to
be done thereunto and considered what it will cost to rebuild
or repair the same, and have taken to our Assistance able
and experienced Workmen for that purpose who have
also viewed the said Sessions house and delivered to us
their estimate relateing thereunto, and wee doe find that
to rebuild the said Sessions house with a comodious Court,
proper Offices, Court Yards, and appurtenances thereto
belonging in a plain substantial and workmanlike
manner will cost the Sume of sixteen hundred pounds or
thereabouts, And that to repair the said Sessions house
with the proper Offices belonging to the same in a
substantial manner exclusive of any additional building
will cost the Sume of four hundred and twenty pounds or
thereabouts, And that the charge of doeing such repairs
together with the altering and enlargeing the Court and
makeing additional buildings to the said Sessions house
will amount to the Sume of Six hundred pounds or
thereabouts, And wee being informed that there is in
the hands of Sr. Daniel Dolins< no role > Knt . present Treasurer of
the moneys raised for relief of maimed Soldiers and
Mariners within the hundreds of Ossulston Edmonton
and Gore in this County over and above what hath been
applyed for relief of such maimed Soldiers and Mariners
the Sume of four hundred pounds or thereabouts, And
that there is also in the hands of Tho: Jones< no role > Gentl
present Treasurer of the moneys raised for the Marshalsea
Kings bench and hospitals within the same Hundreds
over and above what hath been applyed for those
purposes the Sume of two hundred and fifty pounds or
thereabouts and that there are also in the hands of some
other Treasurers several other Sumes of money of which
wee have not as yet any particular accompt
