15 July

"Ordered that Mr Marsh his Teams be employed in Proporcon to his
Neighbours

The Committee observe that we find Marsh was discharged upon
our Representacon, but what other Reason the Trustees could
have for his so sudden Restoracon then what is above
mencond the Comittee are ignorant of

20 Aug 1717

"An Anonymus Letter is sent to the Trustees, which they since call
"Mr Clanceys Letter to which the Commee refer themselves
"Ordered an Advertisemt. be put into the daily Courant to give
"Encouragemt. to such as can make Proof of any Abuses

27th Augt.

"Mr Chancey appeared and was heard as to what he could say
"against the Officers that had been negligent in their offices

3d Sept

"Ordered that the Surveyors have direccons to employ Mr Clanceys
"Teams in ppercon with their own and the rest of their neighbours

10th Sept

"Mr Clancey complained that his Teams did not work in pporcon
"with the Surveyors own Teams and did Produce two Affidavits
"of John Barker< no role > and James Kendrick< no role > , The Board were of
"Opinion that the said Affidavits were false Stand alous and
"malitions, and that is appear'd that Mr Clancey did Promote
" & encourage the Same

17 Sept

"John Barker< no role > declares that the Affidavit by him made was
"dictated by Mr Clancey, and that he thought he was only to speak
"those words before the Trustees That he knew his Masters
"(Clanceys) Teams to be turned off Work and that one of
"Marshes Teams was asbort Load of Gravel and as to the
"other Part knows nothing, being drawn in to Swear by
"Clancey-for which Reasons the Court Ordered that Mr
"Clanceys Teams be discharged at the Highway for the future

6 May 1718

"Ordered the Consideracon of Mr Clanceys case be referred for a
"fortnight and Copys of his Affidavits be delivered to Surveyr.
"to answer to what shall be charged against them so for forth
"as relates to his Reputacon

1 July

"Whereas a Minute was made at a General Meeting on the 10th. of
"Sept last reflecting on Mr Clancey which does now appear to
have been falsely then represented, and his Teams then
"discharged form working
"Ordered That the Surveyr. may employ Mr Clanceys Teams
"equal to any other, his reputacon being Sufficiently cleared
"by severall Affidavits now read.
