maketh Oath and saith that in the Month of June last Mr
Tuller who is a Neighbour
of the said William Brook< no role >
called in altho
House of the said William Brook< no role >
and informed him into the presence and
hearing of him this Deponent
that his Mr William Brook< no role >
had been
fined by the Court at the Sessions House in the Sum of Five Pounds for
not attending as a Jury Man that Mr William Brook< no role >
expressed his
surprize thereof declaring that he had never been summoned, and
desired this Deponent
to make enquiry amongst his Servants if any
such Summons had been left, And this Deponent
saith that on
making such enquiry he found a Summons in the Kitchen which had
been taken in by one of the Servants but which had never come to
the hands of the said William Brook< no role >
, And this Deponent
saith that
he was informed by the said William Brook< no role >
that he had not soon
or heard of such Summons being left and which Information this
Deponent
verily believes to be true, And lastly this Deponent
saith
that the said William Brook< no role >
is at this time on a Journey to Ireland
which is the reason he does not himself attend this Honourable
Court.
