For Felony

The Defendant above named maketh Oath and
saith that James Cattell< no role > Breeches Maker and House Keeper
living in Stoney Stratford Buckinghamshire is a most
material and substantial Witness on the part of this
Deponent and is now confined to his bed having undergone
an Ampulation of one of his toes and furthermore expects
to go through the same operation in one of his limbs by
reason of mortification taking place as this Deponent is
credibly informed, and which is the cause of preventing his
attendance this present Sessions, without the benefit of
whose Testimony this Deponent cannot with safety proceed
to Trial and further deposeth that he this Deponent has
good and sufficient Reason to believe that Please God
on the recovery of this Deponents Witness that he will
appear and give Evidence in Deponents behalf at the
next Sessions.
