Middlesex (to wit)

The Information of William Hodge< no role > and Joseph Maverley< no role > Taken this Twenties
day of November 1786 before one of his Majesty's Justices of the peace in and for the said
County

The said William Hodge< no role > of Ratcliff Highway in the Parish of St. George Middlesex Broker
on his Oath says the Looking Glass produced is his property which Glass heNow
Left safe in his Snop situate as aforesaid on Saturday last about the hour of
Four in [..] Three in the afternoon

The said Joseph Maverly of Parsons Street St. John Wapping Sealemaker at the house of
Mr. Backham Chandler on his Oath says on Saturday last in the afternoon about
a Quarter of an hour before Four of the Clock he saw the Prisoner at the Bar who says
his name is Thomas Price< no role > bring a Looking Glass out of the Shop of William Hodge< no role >
situate opposite to his Masters where he was then at Work That he pursued the said
Thomas Price< no role > and took him in Parsons Street Says in the pursuit he saw him put
the Looking Glass which he took out of said Shop and put it on the foot Pavement
about Twenty or Thirty Yards distance from where he took the same on the Cry of
of Stop Thief That he has not a Doubt of the Looking Glass produced being the same
Glass which he saw The said Thomas Price< no role > have in his possession coming out of the said
Shop going away with and putting the same down as aforesaid and run away Further
says on his being put into the Watchouse for Security he proched down the Wife of the Watch house keeper and escaped That he pursued
said was at the that taken the said Thomas Price< no role >

The said Thomas Price< no role > says he was year by the
said Shop and at Two Door distances he heard the City of Stop
Thief and that he run and was pursued and taken one and
that being Terrifyed when in the Watchhouse he Endeavoured
to pass a Woman who was there to get away which caused her to fall
and dances his having the said Glass at all
