in Court in her own proper person and having heard the said Indictment read she says that she is
the person in the said Indictment mentioned and intended by the name of

she prays Judgment of the said Indictment because she says that on the day of the taking of the said
Indictment
and always from the time of her Baptism heitherto she was called by the name of Jane and not by the name
of Mary and by the name of Jane hitherts was and yet is called and known and not by the name of Mary and
that long before the time of the taking of the said Indictment she was and yet is Covert of and the Wife of Charles
Cook who is still living to wit at London
aforesaid in the Parish and Ward aforesaid and this she is ready to verify
Wherefore in as much as she the said Jane is not called by the name of Jane the Wife
of

Indictment she the said Jane prays Judgment of the said Indictment and that she may not be compelled to answer
