of Saint Bartholomew the Less
in the Ward of Farringdon Without
London on an Inquidition taken
on View of the Body of Henry Poole< no role >
an Infant about the age of Nine year [..] lying dead in
Saint Bartholomew's Hospital
there situate.

Henry Poole< no role > the Elder Book binder Lodging at the House of
Edward William Poole< no role > of the Precinct of Saint Catherine
in the County of Middlesex Book binder [..]
but lately residing in Beach Lane in the Parish of St.
Giles Cripple gate London maketh Oath and saith that
the deced was Son to this Deponent by a former Wife
and that on Good Friday last the 17th. of April last on his
coming home to Breakfast, [..] his House in
Beach Lane having let the same about the our of set
the same Morning not finding the deced in the Room
where Dept. Wife was as Dept. capreted he inquired
of Lucy< no role > his present Wife where the deced was she
answered that he was up Stains on which Dept.
went up Stairs and there found him, and Dept. then
asked him why he was not with his mother, to which
he answered that he did not get up time enough to
light the paid and that his Manne [..] meaning the sd.
Lucy his Mother in Law had sent him up, and said that
he was afraid to come down; that Dept. hen desired
him to come down, which he did with Dept. says that
as the deced was coming down stairs he complained of
his Head and desired Dept. to ful its which Dept. did, and
discovered that the for a part of his head was burn [..]
and felt safe, and on Dept. asking him how it happened
the Deced said his Morning had beat him with an
Horse Whip; that thereupon Dept. took the deced to the Dye
House of Mr. Herton in Wood [..] where Dept. worked, and
shewed the deced Head to seal Persons who were their soon
after which the deced was [..] conveyed to Mr. [..]
Ramsder a Surgeon in St. Catherine's near the Town as [..]
hath been informed and believes, and that on or abt. the 22.
of sd. April the deced was carried to St. Bartohlomew's
Hospital where he dead last Monday the 11th. day of [..] May
instant.
