MIDDLESEX COMMITMENTS.

61 James Homer< no role > , from New-prison , committed by Sir John Fielding< no role > , Knt .
and W. Addington, Esq, on oath of James Fownes< no role > , a manufacturer,
workman, and artificer of, and in brass and metal, to wit, a button ma-
ker, for enticeing, endeavouring to persuade, and soliciting the said James
Fownes
< no role > to go out of this kingdom, into a certain foreign country not
within the dominions of or belonging to the crown of Great Britain, to
wit, into France, their to exercise and carry on the said trade of a button
maker . Dated March 26, 1777.

Detained on oath of James Fownes< no role > , John Clarke< no role > , and others, for enticing,
endeavouring to persuade, and soliciting the said James Fownes< no role > , who is a
manufacturer, workman, and artificer of and in brass and metal, to wit,
a button-maker, to go out of this kingdom into a certain foreign coun-
try, not within the dominions of or belonging to the Crown of Great-
Britain, to wit, into France , against the statute. Dated April 2, 1777.

62 Sarah Crabtree< no role > , otherwise Golligam< no role > , from Clerkenwell-bridewell , commit-
ted by J. Cox, Esq; on oath of Charles Grubb< no role > , on suspicion of feloni-
ously receiving from Robert Campbell< no role > , 2 silver watches, the property
unknown, knowing the same to be stolen. Dated March 7, 1777.

Detained on oath of Charles Tribe< no role > , Thomas Oliver< no role > and others, on suspi-
cion of feloniously receiving from Robert Campbell< no role > , 2 watches, the inside
and outside cases made of silver, the property of the said Charles Tribe< no role >
and Thomas Oliver< no role > , knowing the same to be stolen. Dated March 19,
1777.

63 Ann Firebrass< no role > , from Clerkenwell-bridewell , committed by W. Blackbo-
row, Esq; on oath of Mary Richardson< no role > , and also detained on suspicion of
stealing a silver watch and tobacco box, the property of John Faithful< no role > .
Dated March 31 and April 3, 1777.

64 James Mason< no role > , from New-prison , committed by W. Addington, Esq; on
oath of the right hon. William John Kerr< no role > , marquis of Lothian, and a-
nother, for feloniously, unlawfully, and maliciously assaulting the said
marquis of Lothian on the highway, with a certain offensive weapon call-
ed a whip, and demanding in and by a forcible and violent manner the
money of the said marquis of Lothain, with a felonious intent to rob him
thereof. Dated March 18, 1777.

65 Thomas Yates< no role > , from New-prison , committed by W. Addington, Esq;
on oath of John Clark< no role > and others, on suspicion of having foloniously
and treasonably counterfeited the king's silver coin called six-pences.
Dated March 29, 1777.

Detained by Sir John Fielding< no role > , Knt . and S. Wright, Esq; on oath of John
Clark
< no role > , Richard Mardell< no role > and others, for feloniously and treasonably co-
louring with a certain wash or materials, producing the colour of silver, a
certain round blank of base metal, of a fit size and figure to be coined
into counterfeit milled money resembling the current silver coin of this
realm called six pences. Dated April 2, 1777.

66 Robert Campbell< no role > , form New prison , committed by J. Cox, Esq; on oath
of Charles Grubb< no role > , on suspicion of stealing 2 silver watches, the proper-
ty unknown. Dated March 7, 1777.
